Halton Regional Police are letting local residents know a red light camera in Georgetown South won’t be issuing tickets for the next few days.

Police say officers will be on scene directing traffic at the intersection of 10 Sideroad and Eighth Line for ongoing construction until Thursday.

“During that time, the red light camera at the intersection will not be issuing tickets,” police said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Halton Hills is home to four red light cameras used to enforce provincial laws against running red lights. They’re located at:

  • 10 Sideroad and Mountainview Road South
  • 10 Sideroad and Eighth Line
  • Steeles Avenue and Ninth Line North
  • Trafalgar Road and 5 Sideroad.

The fine for running a red light is $325.
