'Good Samaritan' stops Rockwood break and enter in progress

Two people have been charged following a break and enter in Rockwood that police say was halted by a Good Samaritan.

On Sept. 28 shortly after 11:30 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Alma Street, Rockwood.

"A nearby Good Samaritan called police after they observed two individuals make forced entry into the residence," police said in a press release. "Officers arrived on scene and located two individuals."

As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old of Rockwood and a 34-year-old from Brampton have been charged with break and enter (a dwelling house) with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on Nov. 21.
