Halton Hills driver charged with impaired after crash in Georgetown

A local driver is facing impaired charges following a single-vehicle crash earlier this week.

On July 25, Halton Regional Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Maple Avenue and Mountainview Road in Georgetown.

As a result of an investigation, Elvira Teixeira, 53, of Halton Hills was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Local residents are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver
