Halton Police searching for man wanted since last June

Police say the suspect has been "actively evading" them since fleeing the scene of a collision in Burlington

Trevor Adams is wanted for charges of failure to stop after an accident, flight from peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and taking motor vehicle without consent.

Halton Regional Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man wanted for a series of criminal offences.

On June 23, 2023, police say Trevor Adams was involved in a collision near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Fairview Street in Burlington.

Police allege he fled the scene without making attempts to check on the other driver or exchange information. According to police, Adams was located a short time later and again fled the scene. Police say subsequent attempts to locate and arrest Adams have been unsuccessful, and he is known to be actively evading police.

Adams is described as a white male, about six feet tall, who weighs approximately 180 pounds.

He's wanted for charges of failure to stop after an accident, flight from peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and taking motor vehicle without consent.  

Although Adams has ties to the Burlington area, investigators believe he's residing in Hamilton.

The Halton Regional Police Service is urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Trevor Adams to come forward and contact the police immediately at 905-825-4777 ext. 2316. Residents are advised not to approach him.
