Impaired charges laid in Halton Hills after vehicle hits house

Incident is one of two impaired-related calls on local roads over the weekend

Halton Regional Police have charged a 46-year-old man with impaired driving after he damaged a local property with his vehicle.

On Sept. 16 around 1 a.m., police say they responded to the call in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and 10 Sideroad, where a vehicle had reportedly left the roadway and scraped the side of a house, coming to a rest in the side yard bushes.

A 46-year-old man from Troy was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

The following day, officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Regional Road 25 and 10 Sideroad.

As a result of an investigation, a 27-year-old man from Brampton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.
