Milton teen facing slew of charges following five robberies

Police say weapons were used in all of the incidents

Halton Regional Police have arrested a 19-year-old in relation to five Milton robberies and a fail to remain collision.

Between May and July, police say the suspect was involved in the following robberies:

  • May 26 - Milton Convenience, 433 Main St. E.: A handgun was allegedly used and vape products were stolen
  • June 23 - Holly Pharmacy, 611 Holly Ave.: A handgun was allegedly used and cash and narcotics were stolen
  • June 29 - James Snow Pharmacy,  51 James Snow Parkway: A knife allegedly was used and narcotics were stolen
  • July 2 - Bonafide Compounding Pharmacy, 1598 Leger Way: A knife was allegedly used and a handgun was indicated, narcotics were stolen
  • July 4 - Main and Bronte Pharmacy, 10 Bronte St. S.: A knife was allegedly used, however nothing was stolen.

On May 30, police say the suspect was also involved in a fail to remain collision in the area of Ontario Street and Pine Street in Milton. 

"The vehicle being operated by the suspect was the same vehicle used in the convenience store robbery above," police said in a press release. "The vehicle was abandoned by the suspect (who fled on foot) and it was determined to have been reported stolen from Peel."

Police are searching for additional suspects who were also involved in the robberies.

On Sept. 1, investigators arrested the suspect outside a residence in Milton. A Criminal Code search warrant was also executed at a Milton home.

Oluwaseni Latoye, 19, of Milton has been charged with:

  • Robbery with a firearm (two counts)
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Robbery (three counts).

Latoye has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
