Two thefts at Acton grocery stores were reported to Halton Police Friday.

Halton Regional Police are investigating potentially related thefts at two Acton grocery stores.

At approximately 1 p.m. Friday (Jan. 26), police say a customer at the No Frills store on Queen Street had her purse in a shopping cart when two men approached her. According to police, the purse was removed from the cart when the woman wasn't looking.

Both male suspects are described as white, approximately 5-foot-8. One suspect had a heavy build and was wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt, blue jeans, Black Adidas shoes and a Las Vegas Golden Knights hat. The other suspect had a medium build and was wearing a long, black jacket, blue jeans and black boots.

About an hour later, police say a customer at the neighbouring Sobeys store had a wallet stolen from a purse that was in a cart. There was no description available of the suspect(s). Police believe this incident was possibly related to the earlier theft.

No arrests have been made.
