Historian Scott Brooks of Vintage Acton is gearing up for part two of his walking tour at Fairview Cemetery this weekend.

The event is set for Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m. at the local cemetery, located at 20 Cobbehill Rd.

Serving as a continuation of Brooks' fall tour, those who take part will learn more about the burial ground, local historical figures who can be found there and what made them special.

All are welcome to join the tour, and admission is by donation (either cash or e-transfer). No registration is required.

The cemetery was dedicated by a local St. Alban’s preacher named Rev. W.J. Pigott in 1886. The graveyard’s first interment was on Jan. 4, 1886 for a man named George Steel Sr., who had died two days before.

For updates on the event, be sure to RSVP to the gathering’s Facebook page.
