Local cosplayers look forward to it all year.
The Halton Hills Public Library threw open the doors of its Georgetown branch over the weekend for FanFest 2024.
Cosplayers young and old showed off their fandoms by dressing the part. They played video and carnival games and took selfies with each other, among many other things.
But the big event of the day was the cosplay contest. Several contestants showed off their creations on the John Elliott Theatre's stage. Five took home the prize for their costumes.
