Canada Day stabbing leads to charges for Milton man

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries; police made an arrest yesterday

An early-morning incident over the Canada Day weekend has led to charges for a Milton resident.

On July 2, officers with the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a report of a stabbing outside the Ivy Arms on Main Street in Milton. 

Police say an investigation revealed that a person had been stabbed by an unknown suspect during an altercation. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries while the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Yesterday (July 10), police arrested Joshua Hudson, 26, of Milton in relation to the incident.

He has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and breach of recognizance (two counts).
